Description

Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are a delicious, flavor-packed treat featuring tender sliced beef, sautéed onions and bell peppers, melted provolone cheese, and creamy mayonnaise on soft slider buns. Perfect for parties or casual meals, these sliders are easy to prepare and baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat and Cheese

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

Vegetables

  • 1/2 cup onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced

Condiments and Bread

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 package slider buns

Others

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the sliders.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers and sauté until they become soft and fragrant, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Cook Beef: Add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Prepare Buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally. Spread mayonnaise evenly on the inside of each bun to add flavor and moisture.
  5. Assemble Sliders: On the bottom halves of the buns, layer the cooked beef and vegetable mixture evenly. Then sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese on top of the beef.
  6. Bake Sliders: Place the top halves of the buns on the assembled sliders and arrange them on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the buns are toasted golden brown.
  7. Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven, slice if needed, and serve warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • You can substitute provolone cheese with mozzarella or cheddar for a different flavor.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or Worcestershire sauce to the beef while cooking.
  • If you prefer a spicier slider, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
  • These sliders can be made ahead and reheated in the oven before serving.
  • Use fresh slider buns for best taste and texture.
