Description

These Healthy Fudgesicles are a delicious, creamy, and guilt-free frozen treat made with wholesome ingredients like almond milk, cocoa powder, banana, and natural sweeteners. Perfect for a nutritious dessert or snack, they can be easily customized with nuts, chocolate chips, or shredded coconut for extra texture and flavor. Dairy-free and easy to make, these fudgesicles blend rich chocolate flavor with the natural creaminess of banana to satisfy your sweet tooth without added guilt.

Ingredients

Scale

Base:

  • 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (use dark cocoa for richer flavor)
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ripe banana (for natural sweetness and creaminess)
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter (optional for a nutty twist)
  • Pinch of salt (to enhance the flavor)

Optional Toppings:

  • Chopped nuts (like almonds, walnuts, or hazelnuts)
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Shredded coconut
  • Crushed graham crackers or granola

Instructions

  1. Blend the Ingredients: In a blender or food processor, combine almond milk, cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, ripe banana, peanut butter (if using), and a pinch of salt. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy with no lumps.
  2. Taste & Adjust: Sample the blended mixture and adjust the sweetness as desired by adding additional honey or maple syrup. For a more intense chocolate flavor, add an extra tablespoon of cocoa powder and blend again briefly.
  3. Pour into Molds: Carefully pour the chocolate mixture into fudgesicle molds. Tap the molds gently on the counter to eliminate air bubbles. If desired, sprinkle in chopped nuts, mini chocolate chips, or shredded coconut inside each mold for added texture.
  4. Freeze: Insert popsicle sticks into the molds and place them in the freezer. Freeze for at least 4–6 hours until completely solid; freezing overnight yields the best texture.
  5. Serve & Enjoy: To remove, briefly run warm water over the molds to loosen the fudgesicles, then gently pull out the sticks. Enjoy your creamy, healthy frozen treat immediately.

Notes

  • The banana adds natural creaminess, but for an even richer texture, add 1–2 tbsp Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt to the base.
  • For extra sweetness, blend 2–3 pitted dates with the other ingredients instead of using honey or maple syrup.
  • Customize your fudgesicles by adding a splash of espresso or coffee for mocha flavor, or a dash of cinnamon or chili powder for a unique twist.
  • For a vegan version, use plant-based milk like coconut, soy, or oat milk, and sweeten with maple syrup or agave.
  • Try the mint chocolate variation by adding ½ tsp peppermint extract to the base mixture.
  • For coconut fudgesicles, substitute almond milk with coconut milk and add shredded coconut inside the molds.
