Description

Garlic Butter Steak Bites are a quick and flavorful skillet recipe featuring tender sirloin steak cubes seared to perfection in olive oil, then coated in a rich garlic butter sauce. This easy and satisfying American main course is perfect for a quick dinner and pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare and Season the Steak: Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear. Season generously with salt and black pepper on all sides for optimal flavor.
  2. Sear the Steak Bites: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking. Add the steak bites in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Sear for about 2–3 minutes on each side, until the exterior is golden brown and the steak reaches your preferred doneness. Transfer the cooked steak bites to a plate and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter: Reduce the skillet heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic to the same skillet. Stir constantly as the garlic cooks for about 1 minute, just until aromatic but not browned to prevent bitterness.
  4. Combine Steak with Sauce: Return the seared steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes to reheat the steak and meld the flavors.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the fresh parsley over the top if using, and serve the steak bites immediately for best taste and texture.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
  • These steak bites pair wonderfully with mashed potatoes, steamed rice, or a side of sautéed vegetables.
  • Can substitute sirloin with ribeye or strip steak for a richer taste.
