Filling Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Wraps and Cooking
- 4 large flour tortillas or wraps
- Butter or oil for toasting
Instructions
- Sauté Garlic and Chicken: In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil and sauté the minced garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Add the cooked shredded chicken, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together to combine thoroughly, then remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded mozzarella, shredded cheddar, and chopped fresh parsley if using. Add the seasoned chicken mixture and stir well until fully incorporated into a creamy filling.
- Assemble Wraps: Lay out the flour tortillas and evenly distribute the filling mixture among them. Roll each tortilla tightly into a wrap, tucking in the sides to prevent spilling.
- Toast the Wraps: Heat a clean skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly butter or oil the surface. Place each wrap seam-side down and toast for 2–3 minutes on each side until the tortilla is golden brown and crispy and the cheese inside has melted.
- Serve: Remove from the skillet, slice the wraps diagonally if desired, and serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use cooked shredded chicken from rotisserie chicken or leftovers for convenience.
- For extra flavor, add chopped jalapeños or your favorite herbs to the filling.
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened to easily mix the filling.
- To keep wraps crispy, serve immediately after toasting.
- You can substitute flour tortillas with whole wheat or gluten-free wraps if desired.
