Ingredients
Scale
Liquid Base
- 1 cup milk or juice (options: coconut, almond, oat, soy milk or apple, cranberry, or orange juice)
Fruits
- 2 cups frozen mixed berries
- 1 banana, sliced
Dairy
- ½ cup yogurt (plain or vanilla Greek yogurt recommended)
Sweetener (Optional)
- 2 tablespoons honey, agave, or maple syrup
Instructions
- Blend: Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender starting with the liquid base, followed by the frozen mixed berries, sliced banana, and yogurt.
- Blend Smoothly: Blend on high for 1–2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and creamy without any lumps.
- Adjust Consistency: Check the thickness of the smoothie; if it is too thick, add a little more liquid to loosen it. If too thin, add ice cubes or more frozen fruit to thicken it.
- Sweeten to Taste: If you prefer it sweeter, add honey, agave, or maple syrup gradually, blending briefly after each addition to combine.
- Serve: Pour the smoothie into glasses immediately to enjoy its fresh and creamy texture. Optionally, garnish with fresh berries or a sprig of mint for an extra touch.
Notes
- You can substitute the liquid base with any plant-based milk or fruit juice according to your preference or dietary needs.
- Using frozen berries keeps the smoothie cold and thick without needing to add ice, preserving flavor.
- Greek yogurt adds protein and creaminess; swap for a dairy-free yogurt to make the smoothie vegan.
- Adjust sweetness based on your taste and the ripeness of your fruit; sweeteners are optional.
- Consume immediately for the best texture and flavor.
